Monier
In 2004 Anna Patterson sold the advanced search technology to Google, then she quit Google in 2006.
Now she and few ex-Google engineers (Costello, Power and Monier) lunched Cuil.com (pronounced "cool") and it is not for sale.
Cuil displays results in different way the other engines do and their search index spans 120 billion web pages. It shows actual content of the web page, like a little browser.
Also Cuil will not gather private information about search users.
So it looks quite "cuil"!
